Christmas Ornament fun ...

I was looking at some crafty things to do for xmas. Last year, I created a small foam made christmas tree filled with candy. It was fun to make it, and this year, I thought about making a star and just sewn it together and see how creative I can be ...
So this is what I cam up with, a blue star, sewn up ....

The finished product. Button full of smiles
along with a red bell bow :)

Hanging out on our tree .... :)
My first time sewing something like this. It was fun, now I might think of something else .... :)

Request ...

These cards are made by request by my mother. She wanted some thank you cards. I found a bunch of blank thank you cards that I had from a few years back, I got it from Michaels then, and I thought to put it to some good use.

Take a peek, see what I came up with :)

ReMaking of the first card for Mike :)

I took another look into my first card that I made for Mike, and decided I had to do better.
This is what I came up, I used another blogger's card as a template, but I had to come up with my own design.

Check it out! :)

Second Part of my creation ... A special birthday card PART II

Here is the second part of my card for my husband. All hand made. I thought to include a poem inside the card. I had fun, but I got the inspiration through a spinner card that I made a few months ago, and well, I thought to come up with something of my own and a little different. I had fun making it. But I hope that my husband Mike would love it ...

Progress: Border/Edge Cutter & our own "PINK" glue gun :)

My new border/edge cutter :)

My newest PINK glue gun woohoo ...
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!
The title says it all this blog. Yes, another progress has been made ... got a glue gun to help me out with creating the cards with a bit more extensive creation, and the border/edge cutter, because some of the cards need a  bit more of an edgey appeal as a border.

I decided it was about time to get one of these, but as time goes by, and with the bit of money that comes in, I wanted some of my customers to know where some of the cash goes too ... so here I am, updating these blogs and showing some cute pics of what we got in order to keep business afloat and going.
Thanks to most of you, we are in good progress.
Thanks a million for the love and for ordering Krystal & Mike's Cards ....
Have a good day/night! :)

PROGRESS: A new cutter :)

So the title says it all ... got a new cutter to help out with getting and giving the right measurements to creating the cards. All along, I have been cutting out cards with a simple sissors and ruler. But, I feel that there is a new progression. So, I am happy to annouce that we got a new CUTTER board, and it would make it easier for me to work with it, and it would definitely make it quicker for me and my card orders .... so it is a wonderful day to be sharing!
Thank you!

My "first" CUTTER :)

The need for progression .... different designs

Here are some cards that I have made for holidays, like easter, christmas etc etc, I am sure you get the drift by now. But once again, my designs are different, and I dont have a template, sometimes I would make an attempt from someone else's cards design, and make it my own, or I will try to make a duplicate, but sometimes I turn it to something of my own ... so here are some ....

So, the card making continues :)

The birthday cards ...

Take a look at my creations on birthday cards...I think they're getting better, right?

Random Cards - Experiemnts

I decided to started to make cards ... different designs and also different colours. Here are some "love" cards that I had made for my hubby, once again, keep in mind that I was able to get to the store to get some things, but still tried to use the sense of purely making the cards by hand and by materials strictly from around the house....

The beginning ...

About a year and a half ago, I was stranded at work. I had no car to get to the store to get a card. That week, I had gotten news that my husband's parents had passed away, and I was far away to attend the funeral or to even be there for my husband, so I was looking through the house, and I came across random materials to make the following card. Luckily I had paper, pens, a computer, printer, and some other materials that I had found to do this card...this was my very first card and I even made an envelope to go with it....

My first card & envelope... made from a computer A4 paper...

I also made a card from a folder and a safeway paper bag ....(see pics below)

There are more cards and designs are different, each and everytime :) But this was a beginning of something that I now, have come to enjoy ...
